What Price House Can I Afford?
You have decided that you are buying a property, but you may be asking "exactly
what price house can i afford?" On top of the cost of the house itself,
there are many other, one-off expenses involved in buying a home and moving
which can tot up to between £3,000 - £10,000.
When calculating what price house you can afford you need to work out:
The price you will get from the sale of any house already owned
The amount you are able to borrow
The amount you have in savings or investments which you can use towards the
price of your house
Deduct the costs from above and you will have a rough estimate of what price
house you can afford.
